Emerald Lake Lodge is a mountain retreat on the shores of the aptly-named Emerald Lake, an hours drive west of Banff. Dotting the 13 acre peninsula are 24 cabin-style buildings, newly built of hand-hewn timber to reflect the traditional architecture of the main Lodge.

For those in search of a luxurious sojourn to the mountains, Emerald Lake Lodge is the perfect choice. Emerald Lake Lodge was originaly built by CPR in 1902 and by the mid 1920's the lodge had been expanded and road improvements made it possible to reach the resort by car. Extensive renovations were done in 1986 and Emerald Lake Lodge re-opened as an exclusive year-round vacation destination. Summer activities include hiking, climbing, sightseeing and wildlife viewing, whitewater rafting, canoeing and fishing while winter offers downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, ice fishing and sleigh rides. Emerald Lake Lodge has a number of dining options including Cilantro which is open for lunch and dinner in the summer, Mount Burgess Dining Room which is open for breakfast and dinner and Kicking Horse Lounge which is open during the afternoon and evening (hours are seasonal). If you are looking at staying over December 31st, Emerald Lake Lodge hosts a New Years Eve Gala Dinner for all guests. The rate is $185.00 per adult and includes a gourmet meal on New Years Eve - this charge may not be included in your quote.
